Event ID 10005, DCOM error

DCOM got error: The service cannot be started,
either because it is disabled or because it has no eanbled devices
associated with it. attempting to start the service StiSvc with agruments
in order to run the server:

solution:

This message can safely be ignored if you like. It
is indicating the DCOM is trying to start the StiSvc. The StiSvc, by the way, is the ‘Windows Image Acquisition Service’ and is disabled by default. You should be able to correct the problem by setting the properties of the ‘Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)’ such that it has a Startup Type of Manual. This setting will allow DCOM to start the service when it wants to.
